Demolition of Allen House Apartments
Proposed Regent Square Developer to Speak at next Meeting
It was recently announced that the Allen House apartments that line Allen Parkway and W. Dallas streets will be demolished to make way for a new mixed use center that will include new apartments, condos, office space, and retail.  NMCA is excited about this project, but is actively working with the developer to engage the community on the plans and address concerns as they relate to the project.  These concerns include neighborhood ingress/egress issues, traffic mitigation, streetscape and pedestrian friendly access.

The developers have tenatively scheduled February 21st to present an open house presentation on the project for the community.  NMCA will confirm the date and plans once finalized and communicate to our membership.

Knudson & Associates will also attend the March 13th NMCA meeting to discuss the project.

Parking Problems???
Parking We want to hear from you
As the density of our neighborhood grows, so do the problems that surround parking.  Both residents and businesses struggle with inadequate parking accommodations and as a result, neighborhoods continuously deal with the implications of this problem.  NMCA continues work through the parking problems that affect our neighborhoods.

We'd like to hear from you!  Are there parking issues that you would like to see addressed? Go to our website to give us feedback on this issue.

Newsletters
email Electronic vs. Paper
Since the inception of NMCA we have communicated to our members primarily through newsletters delivered to members doors through distribution by volunteers or by mail.  As our neighborhood has grown, so has the cost for postage and printing.  To better communicate with our members on a more timely and cost effective basis, we are moving to electronic newsletters and notifications.

Please include your email address on your membership form or click the "Join Our List" button to the left to become part of our distribution.

All member emails are kept strictly confidential!

We do recognize that not everyone has email.  Should you wish to continue to receive hardcopy newsletters by mail, simply check the box on the membership form.

Feedback We want to hear from you
We are always looking to hear from our members as to how we can improve our civic association or how NMCA can help get involved with issues or concerns that members have regarding their neighborhoods.  Please take a minute and go to our website to fill out a feedback form, letting us know how NMCA can better serve you.

Moreover, if you are interested in volunteering or serving as a committee member, please let us know what interests you!

The North Montrose Civic Association is a non profit neighborhood association that for more than 25 years has promoted activism and social interaction through its civic minded volunteers with the purpose of improving our neighborhoods and overall quality of life.  While our neighborhood has undergone a radical transformation over the past 25 years, many of the issues we face today are still quite the same.  NMCA has been at the forefront of working with residents, businesses, elected officials and other organizations and institutions to provide a cohesive voice on those issues that affect our neighborhood.

While our neighborhood continues to change, so does our civic association.  We are excited about our new online newsletter as well as our revamped website.  Our hope is that these new interactive tools will allow us to keep you better informed of our upcoming meetings and events.  We also intend to have periodic socials during the year that will allow old and new friends to meet and get to know one another.

We welcome all of our new neighbors to join NMCA and encourage our existing members and old friends to renew their memberships.  It is an exciting time for NMCA and our neighbohood!  I look forward to meeting and working with you.

Sincerely,

Lance Jones
